Used PCs Marseille Delivery and collection

Which used gaming PC should you choose for 1080p?

Your monitor and the games you play determine which parts to look for. Here is what to check in a listing to choose your tower.

1. Start with your monitor

Check the resolution, refresh rate and connectors on your monitor. At 1920 × 1080 and 60 Hz, ask how your game performs around 60 frames per second. With a 144 Hz monitor, say whether competitive play or image quality matters more. Check that the graphics output and cable support your chosen refresh rate.

2. Match the parts to your games

Pick two games and check the publisher’s recommended requirements. Compare exact CPU and GPU models, system memory and free storage. Graphics memory and system RAM are separate figures. Leave room for game updates on the drive.

3. Ask for a comparable test

Ask which game, resolution and settings were tested, including whether upscaling was enabled. A demanding gameplay scene tells you more about slowdowns than a menu screenshot. For a PC being prepared, ask when it will be available and confirm its final price.

4. Arrange handover around Marseille

Confirm what comes with the tower, which video cable you need and the handover location before travelling. A tower sold on its own may require a monitor, keyboard or network adapter. Allow for these in your budget.
